Other records problems
Give here info about other problems about records.
Give as much detail as possible! Just saying "records or my maps have disappeared" or such thing is just useless!!!

Re: Other records problems
Hi.
As they are many cheated records (ex. Japan Style, Moving Power...) I thought about an easy way to track them and prevent them from being inserted. A hacked rec has either no cptimes or identical cptimes. So if there are at least to Cp times that are equal, the time was cheated. therefore, a simple SQL trigger after UPDATE and INSERT should check if 2 cptimes (at least) are equal. and if so, delete the inserted record (update in SQL is actually a delete and an insert so this works in all cases)
If you need help with it, i can write a sample trigger to show you.

That is already checked.
The no cp times case can't be done easily actually because of compatibility with old game scripts.

Re: Other records problems
You can't : it's the idea of global records ! For your own records that you can erase when you want, use local records.
Btw if you mean wrong records then post about it on the other topic

Re: Other records problems
Hi Slig,
I have been using this url with a wildcard to get a quick view of all my servers which has been wroking great for the last several months
http://dedimania.net/tmstats/?do=stat&a … ow=PLAYERS
But it appears to have stopped working recently. I can still see the servers using the full name without the wildcard though
http://dedimania.net/tmstats/?do=stat&a … ow=PLAYERS
http://dedimania.net/tmstats/?do=stat&a … ow=PLAYERS
etc.
Is this a recent change to the dedimania web lookup?
Thanks
Mort.

Re: Other records problems
Yes, it's new. Xymph is working actively to cleanup records those days, so he uses tmstats a lot, and after he noticed some kind of strange slow query results, i found that it was because of sql 'LIKE' with wildcards ('_' and '%' are natural mysql wildcards, so those chars in names could slowdown). The better way to fix the problem was to use 'LIKE' only when wanted, so...

Re: Other records problems
Hi Slig
I'm not sure how this happened today, but I ended up with a #1 record on a map that I already had a #3 record on, and the #1 record is slower than the #3. Maybe a multilap in time attack mode problem since this map would send false incoherence bans in TMU? I dunno yet, I'll look at my server more closely.
Map: Evening Drive by pjw (old tmsx version)
http://sunrise.tm-exchange.com/main.asp … 33316#auto
http://dedimania.com/tmstats/?do=stat&a … ow=RECORDS
Edit: It is doing this on all maps on both my servers now, for some reason the existing records are not being retrieved from dedimania , It was working fine earlier. I will just unload the dedimania plugins for now I guess.

Re: Other records problems
My apologies, it was not a bad script change, but an added column in one of the dedimania table, which by some side effect made some part of the script fail to work correctly . And of course just after the table change i was too busy at my job, and so I noticed the problem very later. :?
After having fixed the script, I had to remove all records made between ~ 15:00pm and 21:00pm (CET). The other solution would have been to come back to the database backup of 5:10am, which was worse. Sorry again, especially to those who made some good time while it was not working.
It should be ok now (i mean since about 21:15 cet).

hey slig...
for first: sry 4 my english ;P
..i hope i am on the right topic :X
ok..my problem is that i drove a first dedi rec on Flow ...it was a "00:36:330" on "2009-05-31 21:58:57" (copied from rcp->aseco db)
...so i got 1st rec and 1st dedi....but one day later the dedi rec was deleted...
maybe u think that it was cheated or something like that....but it was normal way...just using of multilap...
if u want i send u the replay of it ....but i wanna get my dedi rec back xD
(i know that this rec is some weeks ago, but i didnt know that any kind of forum like this exist =P)
greetz raisis
P.S: dont tell me that i should drive it again xD...cause to get it...cost me more than 2 houres :S
/edit: why my nik says NoS》 ैुÇңξΛτξЯ´ू《 ??? o,O ...i changed my name

Exploiting the multilap start on that track is, in a way, cheating too. Just don't do it, such times will get deleted again.
Multilap starts on non-lapping tracks are a real pain for record consistency, and I can't do much about them on most such tracks (even though I'd like to ), but Flow is an obvious exception.

Re: Other records problems
Greetings,
I am trying to match up when a dedi record was made to the copy of the replay file on my server. My time zone is GMT+11 so I'm assuming the reason none of my replay times match the dedi record times is due to different time zones.
What time zone are the dedi records displayed in on the web lookup (UTC\GMT?)
Thanks
Mort.

I disagree. It's poor track design. Using the multi to get a faster time is no different to using a cut.
It's up to the track author to make the track so it can't be exploited this way.

What details are necessary to you?
The server login, the controller you're using, any Dedimania errors in its log, and if the server isn't blocked also the UIDs of the tracks where you think records go missing... lots of details.
